They've introduced their new Light Intensity Management (LIM) system to increase work flow for microscopists who do a high volume of specimen analysis. Each objective can be set to a specific brightness which removes the need to adjust the brightness when switching between magnifications. The eco friendly shut off and crisp bright LED illumination system work in conjunction with Nikon's fully ergonomic viewing tube to make for comfortable and safe viewing by lab personnel.
The Nikon Ci-L is recommended for the following labs:

- Microbiology (Including EpiFluorescence)
- Mohs Surgery
- Urinalysis
